Active Voice and Passive Voice

There are two special forms of verbs called VOICE are:
Active Voice
Passive Voice
Definition and Examples of Active Voice: Active voice is a normal voice as we speak in our daily life. In active voice action is performed by the subject and received by the object. For example: I am writing a letter. In this sentence I (subject) is performing an action of writing. As in this sentence subject acts upon the verb and object (letter) receives the action, this sentence is said to be in the active voice. In simple words the verb form (or voice) in which the subject of the sentence performs the action expressed by the verb is known as active voice. So writing in active voice means forming sentences where subject causes or performs action. Examples of active voice sentences are:
Nadia is cooking meal. (Subject i.e. Nadia is doing action i.e. cooking meal.)
Students are making noise. (Subject i.e. students are causing action i.e. making noise.)
Salman was driving a car.
(Subject i.e. Salman is performing action of driving car.)
Definition and Examples of Passive Voice: Passive voice is rarely used in common conversations. In the passive voice, subject receives the action of the verb and object becomes the subject of the passive verb. For example: Letter is being written by me. Passive voice is normally used when the focus in on the action. The structure of passive voice is:
Subject + finite form of to be + Past Participle (3rd form of irregular verb)
While changing active voice sentences to passive voice these rules are applied:
the object of the active voice sentence becomes the subject and subject is changed to object of passive voice sentence, the finite form of the verb is changed to be + past participle
